Fitting and care
Inspect entry wheels every 6 months, or sooner if you see flattened edges, cracks or a truck that resists entering the pallet. You will need a 10mm pin punch or socket, a hammer or mallet, a replacement 10mm axle pin if the old one is bent, and lithium grease.
- Lower the forks fully on a flat surface.
- Drive out the old axle or roll pin with the punch and hammer.
- Clean grease and grit from the fork tip housing.
- Grease the 10mm bore and axle pin lightly.
- Fit the new wheel, slide the axle through and secure it.
- Spin the wheel by hand to check it turns freely.
Avoid slamming the forks into empty pallets, as this is the main cause of bent axle pins.
